Math & Science Teacher Prep related Scholarships, Grants, and Loans

(Assumption Program Loans for Education)

The APLE is a state-funded, competitive teacher incentive program administered by the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ Student Aid Commission (CSAC). The APLE program is designed to encourage outstanding students to become teachers and serve in critical teacher shortage areas in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ’s public elementary and secondary schools. CSAC assumes up to $19,000 in outstanding educational loan balances for °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ teachers in a range of critical teacher shortage areas in several types of high need schools.

$2,000/year for prospective physics teachers only who are undergraduates

$2,500 scholarship to help economically and educationally disadvantaged students obtain a teaching credential. Award preference will be given to students seeking a credential to teach math, science, or special education. Contact:

The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation offers Fellowships for students who are committed to teaching high school science and/or mathematics. Applicants must already have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in science, math or engineering. The program provides support and professional development for up to five year plus tuition and a stipend while participating in a recognized teacher education program (like ours!).
